Sorry to announce that ,at this stage the USA Tim dates have been cancelled. With the recent terrorist attacks in NYC etc, it has to part of the reason, especially this being a tour with a lot of flying. It's not an easy decision I'm sure. We are all hoping to get back to the USA in the new year. I know some of you will be majorly dissapointed, hopefully we'll be seeing you all, in the not too distant future. I'll try and keep everyone posted. Peter

Curious to know if it's possible to get an answer to this... I saw the New Zealand National Symphony with some guest artists perform in a park in Rotarua this past January. Listening now to some wonderful Tim Finn songs, I'm wondering if he was on the stage as well. I particularly remember hearing "I See Red."

Hi, I looked at the timfinn.com website and they listed Tim as coming to SF on June 23 - Bimbo's. I got so excited! Then I tried to get tickets and was informed he played there LAST JUNE! -- Oops - someone needs to update their website! Anyway - I found my way to your site and see he played in Australia in March. (I'm ASSUMING that was THIS year!) Does he have any plans to come back to SF anytime soon? (Please say yes). Regards, Vincenta Licata

I'm an ex pat living in the great white north. I have always loved your music and found it no surprise that you chose NZ to raise your kids. Penticton is just down the road from Kelowna/Westbank where I was told Split Enz once played. In view of this I think it's only fair you make a return stop! You would be welcome to stay at our house as long as you bought vegemite. If there was one thing I could ask it would be that you write a couple of songs in the range of we less gifted singers, not that it stops me now. Hello Tim, I saw you at the Opera House here with Dave and Bic. Wonderful! My only complaint is it was too short. :-0) I'm sure you've been asked this lots of times but could you tell us what: Katta pella koppa leh and Niacetanovalain refer to? I've tried searching but I keep getting bought back to the song itself. God bless to you and your family.

Hey, I also just have to say how much Tims show totally blew me away. it was the first time I've ever seen him play and it was without a doubt the best gig I've ever seen!!! And Im not just saying that getting all caught up in the moment. He's really an awesome showman, and you can tell that he just loves playing music cause it really came across to the audience! I agree with everything Marie was talking about earlier in this thing, she put everything I wanted to write in the frenz forum into a paragraph people could actually understand! Which is more than I could do.....but I guess everyone got my vibe! Anyway, I went backstage and talked to Tim for a bit and hes a good guy too! So yeah, cant wait for the new album Tim!!! And maybe you can dust off some of those 'Big Canoe' songs for me like you said, i really want to hear Hyacinth and spiritual Hunger live!! Donovan.

Just wanted to say how cool Tims shows were in Melbourne, I went both nights and had an awesome time. To all the people who bagged Tim for playing old tunes, GET A LIFE. 129, Maybe & I See Red and the other older tunes were awesome, I am so gratefull Tim played them as well as the stuff off "Say it Is So", Underwater Mountain & Death Of A Popular song are my favourite songs at the moment. Looking forward to the new CD and another live show in the future Thanks Pauly

A few people asked what my favorite songs were in Melbourne. 129 (Matinee Idyll) I just thought was so amazing, one the of the best versions Tim has ever done, so great that a song from a few decades back can scrub up so fresh and well just be so amazing. Sawdust and Splinters...this is one to look out for, and was replaced by Not even Close the 2nd night- which should of been a hit (as should of Persuasion)... Hell hard call, I'm just glad that Tim and family dropped in for some gigs. Both Melbourne shows were basically sold out so thanks to everyone who supported it, not sure how anyone could of been dissapointed, I've had nothing but really positive emails. Peter p.s -keep requesting Tim video clips on Rage people are noticing.

Howdy Just thought I'd stop by...I was just browsing thru the frenz.com forum and saw that Tim got an absolute caning for playing old songs...So I'd just like to clarify, and maybe someone could kindly set the record staight to some "dodgy" frenz fans. During Tim's recent gigs with Even in Aust. he played a number of old songs (including old Enz stuff) the reason being...he's not trying to sell more records but actually have a good time (the old fashioned way) playing live. He decided to play songs that Even really wanted to learn and play as well as give the audience what they wanted hear. It was Even who asked Tim to play, so the gigs weren't part of an overall marketing scheme to push more "product" and get "airplay" and all that muzak biz speak. It was done in the spirit of pure rock and roll. Dude, it's taken Tim along time to actually sing some of those earlier songs. So if you think it's boring or whatever you really don't get it. Everytime he sings Six Months, Weather, Red it will be different every single f**King time. Becasue they are a part of his life....he doesn't have to present new stories everytime. He's been around for 27 years dude some of us are still catching up. So I say if he wants to sing every song off "Mental Notes" then he bloody well should. It may be 25 years old but it just got voted the best album ever made in New Zealand. Cheerio to all the loyal fans...Keep on keeping on!

Love the opening song Underwater Mountain on the new album - had me jumping off the sofa for hours; still getting into the rest of it (finding it hard to get past the first track - guaranteed smash hit with the right marketing), but sounds like a grower. Am a post Enz fan, love "Before & After" and "Finn". Your vocal harmonies with your brother, are the closest sounds to musical perfection I've heard. Will you be popping over to UK at some point to sing a few songs?
