I got my "Say it is so" CD today - I was really, really excited, while trying to open the CD-mailer - Peter simply wraps them up too well! :-) I had the CD on heavy rotation all day today and I love it, the new songs are great, some of them really give me a chill! Throughout my teenage years (many years ago now), the ENZ and later Tim were an inspiration to my life. Back in NZ, I would have much pleasure to go each year to an ENZ concert. Anyway, many a year has gone by now, I still admire the ENZ / Tim Finn music. Even being on the other side of the world for 10 years now, the distance that seperates between NZ and here, and the number of years that have gone by, I still admire this music. I am glad to see that Tim has got his site now, and will the sure to often be found surfing on it, keeping up to date of what Tim's getting up to. Am really looking forward to Tim's new album, it's been such a long time comming. I would so much like to be at the ENZ end of year concert, but unfortunately, it won't be possible.

I've been a fan since 1980, when I was 11 yrs old! I was lucky enough to meet Tim twice, once in Cleveland, OH, when he was opening for 10,000 Maniacs (I had no idea who THEY were!) and in Pittsburgh on the Woodface tour, when I talked myself into a backstage pass. Both times Tim was very kind, and very patient about signing all my stuff and taking a picture or two. I can't WAIT for the new album! Kia Ora, Tim!

1st saw the Enz at Akl University in '74, Ivy up the mic stands, white suits and wierd hair. Saw Tim climb up into the circle in the Akl Town Hall in about '76 to punch out someone in the audience who was heckling Neil in his 1st Auckland concert. Saw tim last night at Tabac playing all the old songs and some new ones. I liked the new ones best.

I have to say that Split Enz got me through my teen age years. I admit that I spent a lot of time and money trying to find every song, poster, bit of information, or anything else Split Enz throughout those years. And I went to Australia to find more. I am a lot older now and I have to say I have not changed much! Tim is still my favorite. The only time in my life I was at a lost for words was when I met him. I sent a copy of the picture of Tim & I to everyone too! Now @ work when they play a Tim song over our music system I shout " I met him!" I know it's a little juvenile, but hey, it's a good memory! Don't get me wrong I think brother Neil is great too, but I have to say I listen to Tim more. I'm just thankful that the two brothers have chosen to give so much of themselves. The music is such a wonderful gift. I look forward to every album and every visit. Thank you!

Been a huge fan of Enz/Crowded & Solo stuff for way to long to admit. One of the most amazing shows I've seen to date was Finn's final show in Los Angeles at the Ford Theatre a while back. Hi! It's fantastic to see that tim finally gets a great web page. Go Lynn! At Teawamutu Rock Cafe we have this little page about him, but an entire site was indeed needed. Really hope his new album comes through soon. I really liked the 5 songs far out, above all need to be right, and loved alt. Cheers!

Here Tim, hows it Goin???? First let me say what a remarkable Job your webmaster does in your name. Lynn your a Gem! I posted a private message for yourself hope you get it. I wanted just to say hello. I remember the Dun laoghaire times. Such a nice person, so very funny and open and well the voice speaks for itself!! You will never know how you touched our lives, two Belfast strays! Thank you you kind, decent human. The ALT thing is out of this world. Seen Andy in Seattle this week. I was remembering the line 'Joseph, he was a carpenter, he made tables 'pause' and chairs! I feel privileged to have seen the beginnings of ALT. Talk again.... and thank you Lynn.

Thank goodness there will be new Tim Finn music soon. I was so envious of those who witnessed surprise shows by Tim and ALT in the past year! I've followed the Finns since a Split Enz showin NYC at the 44th Street Pier in the 80s- it was very funny because the two brothers were basically fighting on stage between their wonderful songs. Noel Crombie was a percussive wizard as well. Anyway, I've always liked Tim's songwriting and voice best, though Neil is no slouch either. ALT was magical to hear in NYC a couple of years back. There's a song not on the CD having with lyrics about walking out in the rain that I still can't get out of my head. Wish I could hear it again! Here's a vote for a reunion album and tour. So this is basically to say best of luck with the new album and thanks for continuing to grace the planet with your ideas and sounds. Peace --Jeff
